All seniors and professionals working with seniors in Mecklenburg County — You’re invited to join us at the Bette Rae Thomas Recreation Center to learn more about how to stay connected! At this event hosted by Humana, you will have the chance to meet 1 on 1 with a Digital Navigators from the Center for Digital Equity to discuss your current internet needs, and your aspirations related to technology.

There will be interactive exercises with cell phones, as well as an open discussion with a panel of digital literacy experts. We will provide interactive education to increase the awareness of how internet connectivity creates possibilities for seniors, from improving health care access, reducing social isolation, and enhancing caregiving. We want to hear from you about your current internet needs, why digital literacy and digital equity are so important, and how the CDE aims to establish more access throughout the county.
