Goodie Hack [Health]: Charlotte X August 2016

Twenty-five percent of all death and disease burden is caused by air and soil pollution. Mismanagement of waste directly contributes to air and soil pollution, which negatively impacts our community’s most fragile residents – the elderly, children and poor.

Goodie Nation and the City of Charlotte are working to chance this, but we need your help!

We’re looking for amazing people like yourself to use your powers and participate in Goodie Hack [Health], which will be held at Industry Charlotte at AvidXchange Music Factory on Aug 19-21.

The purpose of this event is to create healthier neighborhoods by developing tech-enabled solutions that help people manage their waste better. Through Goodie Ideation [HEALTH], the community developed seven big ideas that need prototypes built to bring these solutions to reality. 

More specifically, Goodie Hack [Health] is the second phase in the 3-phase Goodie Innovation Process to rapidly create open source tech or tech-enabled solutions for creating healthier neighborhoods in under-served communities. In this intense and fast-paced 3-day competitive event, you’ll be participate on a team to develop technology-enabled solutions to reduce waste.
