About the Event
Join us in Salisbury as we partner with Rural Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) to bring free and affordable internet services to community members living outside of urban centers.
We’ll be spreading awareness of what the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) offers, and helping residents complete their application. The ACP is a new federal benefit program that helps ensure households can afford the broadband they need for work, school, healthcare and more. The benefit provides a discount of up to $30 per month toward internet service.
Volunteers will help guide residents through the ACP application process. We’ll have a step-by-step packet to guide you, plus additional staff and volunteers will be available to help. We’ll also be raising awareness of our Digital Navigator Services, free to all Mecklenburg residents through 311.
