Charlotte-Mecklenburg Housing Partnership: Real Talk About Economic Mobility in Charlotte: A Black Man’s Perspective

Join The Housing Partnership for a community conversation on Charlotte’s economic mobility dilemma from a black man’s perspective – set in a barbershop – where we know many candid conversations happen amongst black men. The Real Talk panel will convene inside No Grease Barbershop Mosaic Village in the shadow of Charlotte’s Uptown.

○ Understanding the progress of low income families in Charlotte

○ Assess progress made towards identified goals set by some of Charlotte’s African American leaders

○ Gather community input on what needs to happen on economic mobility

○ Empower community members, particularly young African American men, to become more civically engaged
